PRESS NOTES — Slopes is one of the first apps to tap into Apple’s newest HealthKit API and wearable sensor technology, unlocking a new level of on-mountain performance tracking.
From its release date, Slopes will support Airpods Pro 3's live heart rate monitoring through Apple’s new workout API. This follows its recent Powerbeats Pro 2 collaboration, where Slopes was one of the first seven key partners to debut Powerbeats’ heart‑rate tracking for fitness users.
With AirPods Pro 3, skiers and riders gain real-time heart rate data that's seamlessly embedded into Slopes, delivering immediate performance insights.

Apple’s upgraded workout API also enhances the recording experience with smart auto-resume during pauses and auto‑restart after crashes, ensuring every run is being accurately captured.
In addition, new customizable Apple Watch widgets let users check conditions across multiple resorts at a glance and location-aware widgets in the Smart Stack. At supported ski resorts, these will appear automatically to prompt users to start a recording, making it easier to remember to record their ski performance.
Slopes’ new design and features will be available on September 15 for iPhone and Apple Watch, coinciding with the iOS 26 release.
