Slopes App releases Interactive Ski Maps for over 200 resorts worldwide

Dec 8, 2022 - Boulder, Colorado — In one of the most anticipated releases of the season, the winter sports app Slopes expands its All-Digital Trail Maps service to over 200 resorts worldwide.

Live Recording on Interactive Trail Maps - Mammoth Mountain

While ski areas are increasingly cutting back on the number of paper trail maps they print and distribute, or drop them altogether, Slopes makes sure you never get lost again, with access to interactive trail maps right in your pocket. The app is overlaying trail and lift info on its proprietary Premium winter maps, from run names to difficulty, and more, for the best ski tracking experience on the mountain.

By recording their day with the Slopes app, Premium users will see live on fullscreen ski maps where they are on the trail, what trails their friends are on, as well as the track of where they've been in realtime.

Interactive Trail Maps - Resorts Currently Supported

The new update, available in the App Store and Google Play Store, supports over 100 resorts in North America: from all top ski areas like Whistler Blackcomb, Breckenridge, Killington, Stowe, Vail, Keystone, Winter Park, etc to medium-sized resorts such as Wildcat Mountain, Jiminy Peak, Whitetail Resort, Mount St. Louis Moonstone, and many more.

Slopes interactive maps are available for the first time in the European Alps, with ski areas Les 3 Vallées, Tignes-Val d'Isère, Paradiski, Les 2 Alpes, Les Portes du Soleil, Zermatt, Davos, Laax-Flims, Verbier, St. Moritz, Ischgl, and the famous Dolomiti Superski domain, part of the lineup.

For those looking to enjoy the ultimate pow experience in Japan, the Premium service will support Niseko United, the entire 10-mountain resorts area of Hakuba Valley, and Nozawa Onsen.

So if your favorite resort isn't mapped just yet, there is a chance it might be next.

Slopes Premium version with interactive trail maps comes in the form of subscription for 29.99$ a year, or in-app purchases with one-day and one-week premium access. But info about the resorts, like the classic official trail maps, or ski patrol contact, are effortlessly uncovered by both free and Premium users. The Find My Friends feature is also available for everyone. Free users will see friends' location on regular Maps instead of the premium winter maps, with lifts, but without trails.
